Hotel Kappara is an exquisitely appointed small 3-star hotel, opened on the 15th September 2011, which features all the necessary comforts and services holidaymakers and travellers seek.
The hotel offers superior quality accommodation, featuring twin rooms with private bath or shower, some of which have a private balcony. All rooms have LCD TV showing 37 free cable stations, air conditioning and a conceptual self-catering option if required.
The hotel also features a cosy restaurant bar with a terrace, spacious open sundeck and private pool with bar service, and a private roof enjoying magnificent views with a spacious sun terrace and a pool spa. From the rooftop sun terrace, one can enjoy distant views of the capital city, Valletta, and one can just sense the hustle and bustle of the towns of Sliema and St Julian’s.
The hotel is ideally located just 3km away from the shopping centre in Sliema and 4km from the nightlife hub in St Julian’s. The University of Malta is within walking distance. A hotel transport service is also available, as well as a bus stop nearby which is served by a public bus service.
Situated in an affluent residential area, Hotel Kappara derives its name from the area it is located in, the small village community of ‘Kappara’ (Maltese for caper plant), which was known in times gone by as a popular place where the Caper plant grew profusely. This is still the case as one cannot help noticing the presence of this evergreen plant in the surroundings.
The hotel offers very competitive rates and is tastefully decorated and pleasantly appealing, with extremely courteous and professional personnel. One can either stay on Bed and Breakfast or Half Board basis or opt to use the self-catering facilities, which can still be rented if a guest wishes to retain another board basis.
The hotel is recommended for anyone wanting to have comfortable accommodation with peaceful, quiet surroundings while being able to reach any place on the island with ease.
Good place for rest, nice people! Amazing ladies on reception. Our room was not big, but comfortable, all stuff was new and clean. Tasty breakfasts, good swimming pool – actually you have all you need for a rest. The bus stop is very near, a few mini-markets are also near.
Excellent hotel, with great and comfortable facilities and friendly personnel.

Very good, good value for money.
Lady at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly, easy to find and walking distance to food in the evenings.

Hotel staff was super friendly. I had a room with a balcony and the view was perfect. I was able to see Valletta with historical monuments. The hotel also has a clear pool and tasty continental breakfast. I can recommend this accommodation to students because it is a 5-minute walk to the University.
